Kandu Campers Technical Information

Camper Construction

Kandu lightweight composite panels are manufactured in-house using a unique vacuum system. Two layers of fibreglass gelcoat are fused to a 25mm xps core, creating a resilient and robust material with high compression and torsional strength as well as superior thermal properties, providing a comfortable ambient living area, as well as being impervious to moisture making them resistant to mould, delamination or rot.

The Pods are constructed on infused base panel that uses P.E.T. for added strength and longevity. Corner angle extrusions designed by FusionRV to provide ultimate structural integrity, the extrusions are powder coated and have built-in conduits for connecting all your camping requirements, maintaining clean and functional lines. These structural materials provide a long-lasting high-performance structure that Kandu campers guarantee to be free from structural defects for a period of 10 years. With the Kandu range of campers, you truly can go the distance.

Kandu is fighting against what has become a disposable society via creating long lasting products with minimal production waste. The manufacturing process does not produce the usual waste associated with vacuum panel construction, creating a clean and environmentally friendly end product. Kandu canvas additions and inclusions are 100% Australian made and proven DYNA proof canvas with a minimum weight 12oz, (add logo) before operation please follow the DYNA proof canvas conditioning and maintenance guide. To further combat extreme climates, all roofing material has a heat shield sewn in; providing superior protection against the elements.
